I really have NO idea what they weigh. I really need to get a scale and try to start weighing. Thanks for the comment!

Another month on the roos should really tell the story as to who the "candidates" are.. LOL.. Many of the ones I have here really didn't start showing what they "really are" until about 20-24 weeks.

The off spring of the New Hampshire I crossed onto the production rocks were all over the place. The cockerel I kept put size and weight on fast, but now that he has "grown up" some, I do not know if I will continue with him or not. Ofcourse he would be my youngest son's favorite. . . Looking at these pictures, I might make a similar cross and see what I come up with. I want to go in a different direction, but the start is the same. Good Luck.

I do, however, have another batch of F1 chicks growing out now. They are from Barred Rock cock #2. So far I am liking the type I am seeing. I may cull half of these girls and use only the ones I like the type the best on. Not sure yet. I will work on culling more in the next generation.
If you don't mind me asking as someone just starting, what do you look for in the birds you keep and the ones you cull? I know I would like them to grow relatively fast and large and to look like a Delaware should, but is there anything else that I should be watching out for?
