I would go for the roo with the nice comb if both boys are equally good everywhere else...but if the bad combed roo is better in body, markings and personality and to standard, keep him.

Severus is the sweetest little EE/BA roo that I hatched when I hatched my Dellies and Orps from Cyn...I just grabbed eggs from my collected eggs that day and put them in the bator...I have a mixed flock with an EE roo. LOL But he is the sweetest, most talkative little boy.

Thor is a splash Orpington, son of Speckledhen's Suede and Smoky

(Suede is really mine but I let him live with Cyn

Now to only get Cyn to believe that BS

ahem I mean that fact yes that is what I meant

Ultrasuede and Thor are full siblings! Good!

Yeah, I looked in the SOP- more than 5 points is 1/2 point, crooked comb is 1/2 to 1, so I just wondered if one were easier to breed out than the other - gosh, I hope I have such simple problems when it comes to choosing a roo.

Yup and let him know I will make sure you are spoiling him and Isaac appropriately....watermelons, warm oatmeal, baking for them and so forth....

Joletabey....my Athena and Ultrasuede are full siblings too....Smoky is mama of both my orps

If the comb was really, really crooked, I'd say go with the one with an extra point or two. Since neither is a DQ, then it just depends on how crooked or how many extra points. Would be better able to make a judgement with actual pictures of both. Sometimes, slightly crooked combs can straighten out as the bird matures a bit.

Looks like a gloomy day here, weatherwise. It was actually 51* at 1 AM, and now at 930 AM it is down to 37*, and a bit windy. Nice to not have frozen water!

Speaking of Suede ... I hope to have some of his offspring very very soon! The eggs are veining nicely! I'm excited!

My Dels are doing just great outside, in their new home. Because they are the curious ones, they are the first to go exploring. The other breeds tend to wait until the Dels go check things out, before they go.

Where do you get mealy worms? I have never seen any around here.

Oh, on the comb ... just to let you know .... all my angelic, perfect Dels are showing comb growth; and, of course, they each have 5 perfect points beginning. I would expect nothing else from this exceptional group. Perfect in every way, yup!
