Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Hello Delaware Lovers! I would like for my one dellie to be assessed. Her name is Soupy. Here she is!

Her from the front

From the side

Her tail

Her neck (hackles right?)

From what I have read her tail should be black, and her neck is too light. I won't be breeding dellies. One, because I am still in middle school and two, because we have enough chickens, even too many. We don't have enough space. So there is Soupy!

Spot all of the chickens! (Hint: there are five.)

Thanks,
Gussie398

In my brooder right now....21 delawares (from my stock), 8 Black Copper Marans and 1 Light Brahma (both from a local breeder). They are between 1 day and 11 days old.

I have 75 eggs in the incubator (including 32 Delaware). I'd really like to hatch 200 Dels this year.

I have 3 Delaware roosters, but want to keep only 1 for breeding purposes. What are the most important things to consider when selecting my breeder?

Does anyone know a breeder in central Florida? I need to get some girls for these big guys. They are terrorizing my smaller hens.

Hey Plantcity we are kind of neighbors!! I have some Braden pullets with a Holtman rooster that I am currently hatching chicks from. As far as I know, the only person in Fla. that is seriously breeding Deles is in High Springs. She is who I got my start from. Her name on here is Highspringschix, but I don't know if she has been on in a long time. P.M. me if interested and I can give you her contact info. She will have some nice point of lay pullets. .stan

Yep. We are nearly neighbors. Please send me the info on the woman in Highsprings. I want more Delawares.

Ok, here are the pictures of my boys. I tagged them to keep them straight. That experience definitely confirmed one of the reasons why I love Delawares. I had to turn them on their backs in my lap to put on the tags, and there wasn't one cluck of objection. They did not like getting their pictures taken though. Silly roosters. I will try to add some more photos to my profile so you can see their chests. Didn't want to add too many photos here.
Thanks for your help.

Here is the first pure Delaware chick to hatch in quite some time at this crazy place. This belongs to my best Del hen, Ellie, with Isaac, who are out of Holtman stock.

He/she is 2 1/2 weeks old and with pink wattles already, I'm guessing cockerel, in spite of the shoulder feathering coming in so clean white like a pullet's would. I just love seeing those bright yellow legs.

This was Ellie's half sister, Georgie's last son with Isaac, rehomed months ago. I sure would like to know how he turned out. He was looking very promising:

Daddy, Isaac, who turned 3 years old this past February. He's my good buddy, such a good boy, but I'm a bit concerned as he doesn't fare well in hot weather. His lung capacity seems very diminished and I'm nervous about the upcoming summer:
