Yes. The barring will turn to black (in the female's tails). Or, I should say, it did in my other Delawares. Since this is a project, I am just assuming it will. Well, actually, I do have a few that it has happened in.Wow I love those bodies, I love those heads. Is one of those a pullet with barred tail feathers? I know it's not correct but I think it's nice looking. Is there a reason why the original Delaware hens were selected for black tails with white edging? Hopefully this isn't a stupid question!
I don't breed chickens, I don't have enough room in my small plot of land, I didn't want any roosters, so I can't breed, we got the 2 dellies because we wanted some good brown egg layers, who are friendly, and they were supposed to be VERY friendly.I dont see barring on her, is she part of your breeding project?(the silver one ofcourse)
