Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Would it be cheaper to ship SOME of the chickens here, and meet up in Kentucky with them for you? Or are you not willing to ship any at all?

I am scared to death to ship my birds...they would be in planes, trucks and strange places with no one to feed them for a couple of days...I just could not do it and live with myself. They range from 15 weeks old to 20 months old...I just do not trust those monkeys in the postal service and airports.

Silly I know but they are my babies.

NOOO, trust me, I understand!! just thought maybe I could help out with some arrangements

But Cetawin, you could trust me with Thor,

and if Ultrasuede is a hen, we'd be inlaws!!!

Actually, it's too bad we can't get a long line of us to transport for a few hundred miles each. . . .you know, like passing them on from place to place.

How was the hunting trip?

Joletabey....I trust you and you are correct....I wish we had a "BYC Transportation Unit" LOL Bet Nifty will love organizing and designing that one.

Where we could chain them from one place to another so folks do not have such headaches with moves. Horses, dogs, etc etc are easy to get moved but birds, when you call transportation companies they sounds insulted that I am calling about "chickens". One jerkwater said "How much does the chicken weigh?" I could not help myself and quickly calculate 10 lbs each and said "300 lbs" He sounded like he was about to wet himself

Hunting trip was "ok"...we got REALLY windy, wet weather (5+ inches of rain) from all the stuff that was snow/blizzard just north of us. Had 30+MPH winds for 2 days.

I did manage to shoot a doe on Saturday evening. I'm having it processed for Cyn and Tom and will pick it up on my next trip down there (probably around New Year)

YARD FULL OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You bag anything?

Outlaws, indeed. . . . . . I'd be miffed, except I probably deserve it!!!

edit to say- WHOOPS, posted same time. . . congrats on the doe!

That's what I was thinking...but why couldn't we? It would be a great opportunity to get to know some people on here, and we might could even charge her some hatching eggs, or better yet, some Thor babies
