I have a persimmon tree right outside the coops. The deer flock to them when they fall off the tree, but I have NEVER seen one of my chickens eat one.

Now as for the Merlot.....I just got back from the liquor store (now that I'm re-employed, I needed to restock the wine cellar)....anyway, can't see wasting good wine on those wenches!!! That's simply "alcohol abuse" at its finest!! If anything, Issac should be the one to get it to "ease the pain"!!!
