Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

My father retired from Delta and I have traveled extensively in my jobs...so I don't mind flying. BUT, I am claustrophobic so I think I will be climbing the walls after 15 hours!!! Gonna ask the doc for some really good "sleeping meds" to take as soon as I get on board!!

Weird thing going across the Int'l date line. We leave Sunday night/Monday morning at midnight and arrive in China TUESDAY at 7am

My body will need coffee BADLY by then....

I have eggs in the hatcher from Claudia and from Cyn. I plan to band them, and observe. The eggs coloring is remarkably different though. Claudia's are much darker. I can hardly wait. I don't really have a plan, currently, for future breeding.

I did ask a couple APA judges where they would recommend purchasing Dels. One had no answer for the standard sized, but had one recommendation for bantam size. The other one said he hasn't seen any that he would recommend. What's that tell ya? We really really need to get some Delawares going on the show circuit!

Kathy, that is very telling, isn't it? As far as egg color, only my Georgie lays really dark eggs. Phoebe and Ellie's are medium colored and often speckled. Kira's are the lightest of all, almost a creamy off-white, but also the largest of all the hens. Janet had one hen who laid an almost Marans-like color, so maybe Georgie is her daughter.

Yard full o' rocks :

OH, there is so much I could get done in 15 hours!

But, if you insist on sleeping, maybe you should wear an adult disposable undergarment, as well.

Scott, I bought some of those spiral chick bands. They come in several sizes. They are a real pain to change.

This time I am using a different method. I am using Velcro. I have purchased colored permanent markers, to color them with.
Velcro also comes in a few different colors.

Another method someone suggested, is to use those long spiral pieces that are on keychains. They come in many colors, and I guess they are available at WalMart, in large pieces. I have not checked that yet. They are softer, and would be much easier to use.

Spewing coffee here, LOL!

Well those "depends" things sound like something my grandmother would wear!!! Gonna see if Jennifer can take these pullups and make them "thong cut"....they are really uncomfortable out of the box!
