I need to post up picks of my Bill Braden birds. I have what I think is a particularly good roo (Tarzan) and several really good pullets. Tarzan is big, I think he is as big as Buddy Buddy (from seriousbill) already, but not as wide. Tarzan has a much better comb and wing carriage, and I think the tail will turn out really well. The pullets are beautiful, nice yellow legs, good combs, wings, tails. One of them was much bigger than all the others (Jane

). I can't wait to see what her and Tarzan's chicks look like.

I am definitely outcrossing with my other birds, in a controlled way. I think Buddy Buddy will add some nice width to the babies. Some of his other babies are growing really big, really quickly. It's very exciting.

I've been reading a little on the genetics. I believe the dark hens, the more columbian type will give you really good roosters, so they are good for breeding, if not showing. I have 3 that have no/very little barring on the hackles. I guess I'll see what happens.

Gotta get some pics soon as the rain stops.

Thanks for the feedback thread, Jeremy. Now, let's hope for good fertility and no detached aircells!

Someone bid on the Delaware girls I put up for sale. He sent me pics of his adorable coop and run and I think they'd be very happy there after their adjustment period. I'm sad and it won't be easy to let them go, but I think I really have to.

Sorry to hear that the girls will be going to a new home. Hopefully his/her setup will be nice and they will like it there. it will be tough to part with them, but, will give you some relief from the problems you've been dealing with, which should be good.

In your post to Jeremy, you mentioned detached air sacs....funny since I just posted this

https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=307761

Can you tell me how to determine if the air sac is detached?

Hope everyone is having a great day....too much rain here, but it looks like it is letting up a bit. We got 4"+ here yesterday
