Will anyone be going to the Washington Feather Fanciers Winter Brisk Show? We are trying to decide if we want to make the trip over or not.

Hope everyone is having a great day. Winter is near ...... yuk!

I got the nicest email today, from a lady in New York. She wants a Delaware pullet (as a pampered pet) or two. She only has a couple other girls, and would like to add a Del. It would be costly to send her one from here, and I really don't have any I want to part with currently. Any of you New Yorkers (* cough, TIM *) have a pullet you could spare? Even a purple egg laying gal would probably make this lady happy.

We are actually in Oregon on the East side of the state near the Idaho Washington boarders. We have a little time to decide as the show isn't until the first weekend in December and entries close the 24th of November. I am just not sure I want to try and take the Mountain pass out of the valley here and then drive the gorge in December if I don't really have to. Especially given that they are saying we are in for the worst winter in 50 years.

Do you cross over through the Portland(ish) area? There aren't too many places to safely travel to and from the interior. I'm sitting about two miles from the oceanic tide

I've driven the Santiam Pass in the Winter. I'll tell you something; it was NOT the elevation that made me feel close to God! Several times I thought I was on my way to meet Him at the next bend in the road.​

I got that e-mail also she said that she makes oatmeal for them and puts it in little bowls!
