I've missed all the postings so why not pm me and fill me in. I'm in Syracuse. Who's this breeder and where is he and what's he got. Waverly is not to far for me to drive.

A pip at 1 a.m. By 4 a.m. there was a lone Delaware baby hatched. As far as I can tell, no other pips so far, but oh, puleeeeze, let at least one other hatch! There are only three, but the feed store currently has only chicks over three weeks old at the moment so no chance for a buddy unless one hatches.

The breeder lives in saltsburg pa, Hes a busy man , heads a lot of youth groups for cavies poultry ect... shows at some big shows and says he never gets tired of winning, they say he has quite the impressive stable of poultry but his email is always overflow and getting throiu is almost impossible. I even hand wrote a letter so thought this next summer I would just hop down there and while heading down to chadds ford for vacation..Ive found a lot of the show breeders are tough to get ahold of they have busy schedules.
There is a show barn right down the street from me also, they just moved up here 2 years ago from the south ...they have also been winning all over the place with a LOT of birds , in fact they are on thier way to nationals..Im dead serious when I say WATCH them...they will win a lot..They are the Faulkners..jackson and angela and the kids..Pastor romig who is thier mentor and hes also an APA juge got all of the different breeds that he picked up from top breeders all over the US..the pastor judges all over, I think he just got back from new mexico or arizona ect...It will be interesting to see how they make out at nationals they swept the awards at every show they went to this last summer..they are still working on thier dels . some of thier birds are tops....The name of thier farm is bamajam poultry but they are working on getting a web site, again these people are busy busy ..they had to buy a second farm to house thier stable of poultry too...Best advise I can give is watch them at the nationals and I have thier phone no and address..They get better every year..the master breeders dont travel with as many birds as faulkners, they know excatly what they have to do to win and take a few, faulkners are just so passionate about thier poultry..another freind of mine has australorps and langshans one of his aussie both are east coast champions and top over all points and a langshan pullet has been best in show at the last three shows she has been at all APA. so their out there , finding them in a time of relaxation is tough.

You know there is no chick more "in-your-face" and personable as a Delaware and if one is raised as a solitary bird, it will be so rotten, it will positively stink! I would have to rehome it to someone who had other chicks so I wouldn't have a Delaware living in my house till it was crowing or laying eggs, LOL. The poor dog would never come out from behind the bathroom door where she used to hide when Zane was in the house crowing.
