On Friday, Jay, a Delaware cockerel I have from Cyn will be going to his new home. I will be sad for him to leave, but he needs to. Oh well. The others will stay... Though I am still confused about this one chick's sex, dangit!

My eldest son and I are hatching Buckeye Roo over Delaware hen as a broiler-cross project. It isn't strictly a Delaware project, so I will start a thread for it under the meat birds. I just wanted to post here as some Delaware growers expressed interest in the cross.

The first three chicks are out, all Delaware blond with Buckeye red "mink shawls" across their shoulders, very handsome chicks.
