About Suede ... well, are you saying just because he
looks different ..... he can't be accepted here? Huh, is that what you think? Well, goodness knows, we Dellie caretakers accept them all .... Even the adopted big blue type Dellies! So, Suede can partake of the Delaware thread .... as an adopted addition!
Oh yeah .... I got the book in the mail today...
The APA Standard of Perfection 2001. I did splurge and get the colored edition. Frankly, I am disappointed in that aspect. Not even a single picture of a
real bird. All there is shown in color is artwork! Shocked, and disgusted! Pay a fortune for artwork, when I wanted a resource book? ..... Hhmmmm ..... not happy!
In a small box at the bottom of page 1 (under the colored picture of the artist) it says,
" The color pictures in the Standard of Perfection are the artist's interpretation of the written description for each breed and variety pertrayed. Their purpose is to give a general idea of each bird. DO NOT take these portraits as examples of the perfect specimen. The written text is the description of the ideal bird."
Well, now that I have the book, I am quite sure that the new one will be out very soon! LOL I know I won't be buying a colored version again!
