12 .... yes 12 .... I have 12 new Delaware babies! Just like the twelve days of Christmas! LOL
AND ....
YES .... I have a Suede baby ... Meg did it for me! YAY, I have a Meg and Suede baby!

Fern's baby is still messing around, chirping up a storm, and is zipping still.

1 BBS Orp egg is rolling around, but no pip. Nothing from the other 3.

I know this is the Delaware thread, but I just had to share! YAY ! ! !

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!! Or if you prefer it, Happy Holidays!

Well, my Christams was good until about two hours ago. Heffner and Oreo managed to get each other through the fencing. They tore a hole through the chicken wire that covers their chain-link fence divider and covered each others head and the fence with blood. I thought for sure that we were going to have to put them down, so I brought them to the house and we got them cleaned up. Not a scratch to be seen!! Theres a little place between the beak and the comb on them both where their comb seems to be torn a little. Thats it. So I put some antibiotic ointment on them and put them in the two rehab cages and let the cuckoo maran have reign over the girls in one pen.

Roosters, lemme tell ya

I do feel bad though, but I didnt think they could rip through chicken wire!!

Suede is an Orpington (I think a blue?) Rooster speckledhen has that is a very handsome and chunky boy!! He's famous among us Delaware lovers, lol.

So Kathy is very happy to have one of his chicks!

Har, some of us have Suede babies and he is our Orp hero. If you scroll through this thread, there is a picture or two on here- like Delgirl said, he is an honorary member here!

Tank is awesome. . . what a chest! Crazylady, you can be happy!!

Kathy- congrats on 12 new Dellie babies- can you name them after the 12 days of Christmas?
Partridge, Dovie, Frenchie, etc? Just kidding. . . .

Delgirl- I am glad Hefner and Oreo didn't hurt each other any worse. . . .what a scare!

I bet that Oreo and Heff found a piece of rusted chickenwire somehow and just busted through. Glad they aren't seriously hurt!

And Cynthia and Joletabey, it was a big scare. It happened within minutes. I was gone to feed the other group, came back and they were covered in blood. I thought I lost Heffner because he had so much blood in hhis nostrils, he went limp in my arms. He is no show bird, but I love him. The great thing was, he was so good for me, and he is never good for me. I think he knew I was going to help him, not hirt him. Oreo, on the other hand, was a butt the hole time. We had to have four people keep a hold of him so I could clean his face and nose. He doesnt like being separated from his women, but they kept picking at him, so I took him out. Heff is handling it like a pro. God, the mess was horrible on the wire >.< We have it fixed now, they cannot reach each other. Silly boys

Suede is so beautiful, and his and Megs babies are so beautiful!
