Darling Yard Full of It, I will say a prayer tonight and a big one in my morning prayers....to know how special you are....that means an extra five minutes for me outside in below freezing temps for you tomorrow morning. Good luck with the interview...let us know how it goes.

Kathyinmo....I cannot believe you are telling such fishing tales to us....we who own the little darlings too. You may THINK you have angels...just wait. It is Dellie Mind Control working on you BIGTIME...you will see. muahahahahahaha

I am feeling much better by the way...just got home from a great workout at the gym...hit a couple personal bests for me and I am pumped up....about to go eat a steak, asparagus and brown rice...then hot bath and beddy bye. Personal bests for me tonight (it was legs tonight) *drumroll* Sumo Squats 190 lbs x 8 for one set and Incline Leg Press 775 lbs x 10 for one set and at weigh in tonight I have gained a couple pounds weighing in at 89.4 pounds.

(I have squatted much heavier but not with my weight so low)

Actually, I feel better when I am working out...tons better actually. The benefits so far outweigh the hassles. I am coming back from a hiatus due to some medical issues....I had gotten up to 131 lbs and near competition ready so I am again aiming to get up to about 140-145 lbs and enter a bodybuilding competition ripped at around 135 lbs before I turn 50. If you saw my meal lists for a day you would flip....I eat from 2800 - 3500 calories per day when I lift heavy. I do crazier things though...I got into a competition with some other women...we chose out exercise, chose a heavy weight and did 100 repetitions...I did inclined calf presses at 365 lbs. I have not seen any sites of Cyn's Dellies myself but someone had mentioned them being famous on the net....I do not doubt it.

Those babies are so adorable...I love them as babies like that. They are so funny when they fall asleep in unusual places like the feeder, standing up with their heads on the bedding and etc.

Okay...off to bed now.

Cetawin, I know what you mean about feeling better if you work out- I merely go to Curves, which is NOTHING like what you do, oh Amazon goddess, but it's almost a cleansing to go and get sweaty and get the old heart pumping. Even cleaning stalls and hauling hay and grain around makes me feel better somehow -

Kathy and Germaine- you two are the hatching Queens- good grief!! I wish I had room - all those babies are so precious- I have been haunting the incubation section, waiting for all your pics!

One of these days I will haul ye olde Sewing Machine out and make a Dellie flag- I made DH dewrags ( I just realized I don't know how to spell that. . . ) for Christmas, so I have lots of black scraps - just need to pick up some red and white and some gold cord.

Yard Full- more prayer this morning, and yes, DO keep up posted!

Quaker Oats makes a hot cereal - rye, barley, oats, wheat- that my little ANGELS (AHEM!!!) just love, especially if I mash banana up in it - if you are looking for a variation on oatmeal, it's really good. DH really likes it, too.

The snow is NOT melting- my sweet, darling little Dellies are still in the big brooder on the porch- I was hoping to have them out by now, but unless I shovel all the snow away from the coop so I can finish the run, they will be in there for a while-

How many of you want to just go sit in the brooder with them? (After you clean it of course?) When they look up at me I just want to jump in there.

I am soooo out of shape from breaking my ankle. I used to walk the trails my DH made on our 5 acres and the gravel roads that surround out acreage to stay in shape, in addition to chicken chores, but with the frosty leaves making these hazards everywhere and my stupid ankle still swelling up all the time, I gained about 7 lb over the last year and it would have been more if I didn't eat under 1300 calories most days. I am in awe of my friend Ladyhawk over in Oregon! She's like a stick of dynamite, that one. Explosive, impressive and a force to be reckoned with, all in a small package! Delawares are actually a fitting breed for her!

The 4 del babies I got out of this last hatch are sweeties. The pullet I sold.... Eh. She wasnt much. She was way shy and screamed and frumped around the brooder-trough while I fed and watered them. She was nuts. The boys, however, are just as stoic as their poor daddy. Them Del babies of yours are sure cute!! I cant get over all this cuteness, I may have to break the ol' cousins back and say were hatchin' anyway! Lol. Just cute

Cetawin, I'm glad to hear your feeling better. The flu is nasty business. Very nasty.

Just kidding. I have no idea what I would do. My grandmother sometimes heats up a little bit of olive oil on a rag and wraps it on a hurt spot. It helps a little bit. I hope that stops giving you trouble!! And of COURSE your birds and you are famous. Just look at em'!
