I have actually been trying a "version" of South Beach since after Jan 1 (lots of protein, high fiber and lower carbs) and I've dropped about 5lbs. Holiday sweets were my undoing!!

This is not Dellie related so pray forgive me ....


Scott...give up those fad diets...seriously. Speed up your metabolism by drinking at least one gallon of water per day, eat your normal amount of food per day but do it in more meals 5 meals per day minimum. Seriously eat smaller portions every 3 hours. Your body's metabolism will speed up, the water helps burn fat and lift some weights....muscle burns fat. The benefit to smaller portions more often - your body uses what you give it at a meal which is not enough so it attacks your fat stores for energy...and muscle is also denser than fat. So 1 lb of fat takes up this much space: ____________________________________________ But 1 lb of muscle takes up this: _______________.

You will add muscle, need smaller sized clothes and make your DW drool when she sees you. Just do it man...say no to soda, lots of fat (do eat fat the body needs it) and avoid those sweets!​

Yes some are definatly a little lighter than the others but they are yellow. I think most of the problem is the camera operator, MOI, as it has no clue as to what setting it should be on. I just point and shoot most of the time and everyonce in a while I'll get a half-way decent picture. You ought see the ones that I don't post. I really need to learn how to use the photoshop also to fix my mess-ups.

Kathy, catdaddyfro and who ever else needs it Digital Photography Now go find the book, ues your cameras! my mom took a class and got her hands on the book, with out it her $3000 {?} of cameras & lens gather over the past 4 years would be woth-less....guess I should read it too

I've been working out just a little so far, but it makes me feel good and my goal is to buck bales and toss calves with the guys buy summer. but my bud asked me if I had been eating ok, cuz I look too thin

Am I the only one who gathers lost feathers to use in crafts? the boys have buffer butts right now. I have more bantams when I had birds befor, and I guess they grow up faster, cuz I don't rember them looking so odd. but then again I was not trying with a breeders eye.
what funny about Tonka & Tank is they don't try each other, at least not that I have seen. it's more like Tonka - Dude, Tank gives a ruffle - Sup, then about half the time the come up to the girls like you are in my way move! But noone is overly bossy, so I just sit back and laugh

the crazy lady - you are not the only one....you are in the forum presence of a woman with deer legs hanging in her garage, salted deer hides stacked up and a wolverine pelt beside her bed...nope some of us crazy ladies gather and save a lot of stuff for crafts.

Yardfull- the thing I liked about South Beach is that, like Weight Watchers, it teaches you how to eat for life. No refined crap - cut out the white sugar, white four, white rice, etc. That will cut weight off your middle faster than anything. Cetawin is right about the weights and water. It's unbelievable what drinking more water can do for anyone. And toning that muscle will also just make you feel better - yup- she is one smart cookie! Even if she does kill X-Men!

Does making doll dresses count as a craft? I finally gave it up, but I used to have boxes and boxes of buttons, lace, ribbon, fabric and patterns everywhere.

Catdaddyfro- cameras can wash out that leg yellow pretty easily- I agree your girls have little color at this point, but I seem to remember someone saying that the tail feathers CAN come in black a little later on. The one all white girl does look a bit strange- maybe wherever you got them snuk in something else? Your roos have good tail barring, though - I really like the one on the right in the first picture.

Ok...I'm gonna try it. Weights might have to wait for a bit as I have acute tendinitis in both forearms (tennis injury from last seasons mens doubles). I wonder if I can run instead? I've been running about 2 miles 3 days per week.

Might have to work close to the "potty" til my body adjusts to a GALLON of water a day (LOL)....

By Easter, I want to be close to 150lbs. Let's see what I can do
