Little SawsAll! I had a cat that used to sleep in her water dish. . . . oh well, you don't have to be smart to lay eggs. Laney- I used to have long hair, too, and every time I cut it, I grew it back out- I love your cut- its' very graceful.

Pen and pencil sets are so elegant. I bet that ebony set will be beautiful. I would love to see pictures-

Thanks Cetawin I will. There is only one school I'm looking at, it's here in OK and the only boot making school left in the US. I also have a list of people who make boots and/or saddles and are willing to teach for a fee. the school would be like having a job with out getting payed, 8-5 five days a week for 11 months, 100% shop time. here is a link http://www.gctcok.com/bootsaddle/index.htm I think it's the best way to go.

man I shur hope my birds don't want to be shoulder birds, they pick at everything. one got my ear when I bent down to look at something the other day. they are fun though.

My DH spent some time with the Dels today, and they were perfect angels with him- nobody pecked him, and they all clustered around to see whether this big 6'5" guy was good for a treat or what. They were all very curious, let him do a little chest rubbing- the girls really clustered around. I was really proud of my kids!

CrazyLady- I don't want mine on my shoulders either now that they are bigger- I keep thinking they will try for the top of my head next, and that would not be a good thing. How soon are you headed to this school? I think it' a really creative choice- more power to you!

Conservachick- I am sorry you changed your mind about your Dels- those are nice birds!

Hi All- Thank you for all the info on the ebay sellers! I am still trying to find a place close to me that has good stock. I will be going to the Stockton, Ca poultry show at the end of the week, maybe I will find some there. Or at least a contact? Do any of you know of a delaware breeder going to the stockton show?

Beth I hear ya...it will be overcast to partly cloudy here tomorrow (according to the prediction a few minutes ago) so my babies will get out of the coops too. It will probably snow now that I have said that. I am sick of rain and the mud OMG.

Cetawin- This seems to be the wettest winter I have seen since moving here- hope it gets back to normal before you move! Or I can come up there and run by your side with an umbrella while you unpack!

BUT the sun is out momentarily here, so I ran out to try to get the coop all ready and do a little more to the run AND DISCOVERED MY COOP LEAKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it is in the wire vents up under the little roof- it's built like a little western barn -and it's been SO windy here- now I have to wrap that somehow without totally losing ventilation! If it's not one thing it's another!!!! I might as well just let my Dellie Darlings into the house and be done with it all!

I am worrying over all this so much that I am dreaming about it. worse I am dreaming about every possible horrible thing that could go wrong .... happening. Apil 1st cannot get here soon enough for me now.
