Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Good news that the injured area does not go all the way through! GREAT! Hopefully she will be back in full force in just a few days! She will be even more spoiled rotten than ever by then!

Cannonball, what did you do?

Keeping her quiet and on softer food so she doesn't use that beak for pecking, right? You got prayers, little one. Cetawin- she will heal ( because I said so!!!) and be spoiled even more rotten!!!!

I am grasping at straws, but could she and Fattie have gotten in some kind of tussle over food where Fattie grabbed her beak? (not that I want to blame Fattie, Buckshot will have a fit, but you have said she grabs hard and hangs on) Any rocks she could have pecked? Door hinges or knobs? I am finding mine can jump a lot higher than I would have thought.

Cannonball!! Oh my goodness did you hear I was taking a nap and think you would teach me a lesson? Don't do that!

I'm so glad that you were able to get in touch with Cyn. Hopefully, everything will heal OK.

This has got to stop. I'm putting a moratorium on bird injuries while I'm out of town. I'll go out in the morning and tell Biden to spread the word!

He is so cute. When we were shoring up the coop that got damaged in the wind we ended up giving it "handles" on one side. This is the brooder coop now, and it is covered in opaque plastic with strapping to hold the plastic on and keep the wind out. Inside are the 12 3-6 week old chicks.

I've been leaving the farm early 3 mornings this week and all three mornings Biden has been perched on that handle surveying the farm. Shannon however, states that he can't really see his girls from that perch, just the rest of the farm, so it is her opinion that he is really listening to the babies because it makes him feel proud! After she said that I did notice that he does look especially cocky standing there!

Well I have torn the coop apart and there is nothing she could have doe it on except the hardwire cloth if she somehow got her beak through it.... Fattie and Cannonball love each other and have never had a fight....Fattie was acting like she was protecting CB from me I had to push her away to get to CB and pick her up.

She is doing good and it looks like a nasty cut across the top....the peeled back part worries me more. But she has had her vitamin E oil put on it, has a deep dish full of moist food (which she pigged out on like she had never eaten in her life) and she has terrorized Cheyenne's room...I know this because I kept hearing "Cannonball nooooo leave the backpack alone" "Cannonball leave the shoe alone" "Cannonball that is my bra stop it" and various other such statements. LMAO

She snores (always has) and she was snoring in the doggie crate a bit ago so she is full, watered, terrorized the room and is sleeping it all off....for now.
