Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

That link doesn't work for me, Jeremy. Household thermometers only are required to be accurate to within 2 degrees, so to most folks, that is accurate, but not for incubating. I bet the Genesis is pretty on the mark.

May I chime in please about the Genesis 1588? I bought one and hatched my dellie, EE and Suede babies in it.

It help temp very very well. Do you have the red plug in the top? If so, is teh hygrometer calibrated? But, my thermometer and the hugrometer stayed within a degree of each other in temp reading.

If need be call them as Cyn suggested...talk to them.

Cyn, good for you. I do not blame you...when I listed my roos for sale, my CL ad said plainly they are not for food and if I do not approve of what I hear and see, they stay with me.

I've meant to tell you, Cetawin, I can finally see your avatar, and it's beautiful- I really, really like it.

I have twice taken horses back because they were not being fed enough- horrible weight loss on one of them, she has never really recovered. I actually would rather see my two Del Columbos eaten than starved, but I am still hoping for a good farm home. May we all be blessed enough to find good people to take our kids!

DH was dealing with all the coop chores today. He let Isaac in with the Delawares while he was working. In a while, he came back inside and told me he'd put him back in the broody pen because they had yanked all the scabs off both wattles and he was bleeding slightly. Later, he brought Ike inside so I could put bag balm on them so maybe they'd heal without big, thick scabs. That is just the sweetest boy in the world, always lets me tend to him and looks at me with such trust in his eyes. So, that is the last time he's going to be with the girls this week. Hopefully, he's mated them all enough for all the eggs to be fertile still. As soon as I have enough eggs for Jeremy, the Dels go to the main flock and Isaac gets some new, hopefully nicer, women. I am selling three of the six, including Gracie.

Those mean mean wenches. STEW THEM ALL

On a better note (well better for me) DH has decided that the pool table would take up too much space in the "Man Cave" so he now has plans for a roost system and play area for Ike, if he comes to live with us. I have no clue on the details I only know he was babbling about a roost bar here one there and a sand pit for him and surrournd sound
