Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

oh, forgot to answer someone's question about cocci. I know my soil is full of the oocycts just because each new batch of chicks gets it soon after they hit the ground. Many batches have been raised in that pen, too. After these go to their respective destination coops, I'll lime the heck out of it. Going to maybe sell the Firetower coop (which is always disinfected with ammonia between batches) and maybe build a larger, walk-in type in its place. When that is removed, I can get in there to lime the heck out of it.

I woke up this morning to check the temps in the incubator, only to find that one of the Delaware eggs was rocking!!

It wiggled back and forth for a bit and then went still. I've got to say that it was probably one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. L0L. I think I may get babies a few days early.

Welcome back Scott! We have missed you!!!

Cyn, I have been thinking about LadyHawk nonstop. I hope she is doing oK on the drive!

Congrats on the Newly Expected Chicken Addict!!!! Isn't that just a blessing!!! I love Babies, I would have had 10 if I had been blessed with them, but instead I got my almost perfect 1. I feel lucky there!

Hey, Lisa, Janet looked at your Ike sons and she says, yep, Norbit and Blue are your best ones and she said, "Seems like some of the boys are way too heavy on the black. Not surprising, given the background of heavily marked birds."

Thanks so much for all of your help Cyn and everyone else!!! Looks like I will be making a post for FREE DELAWARE ROOSTERS soon!!

Urbanfarmboi--now the fun begins! These chicks are like kids...nobodys are cuter than yours (unless his name is Issac)

So here are my girls all growing up. They are starting to lay so if you see purple on them it is just me marking the ones I catch in the nest boxes so I know who is producing. They are still as sweet as ever just more self reliant now. Nice!
I have 11 but was getting them confused while trying to get pictures. Number 4 hen is one of your Cynthia! Isn't she beautiful?
