Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Cindiloo, why no pics? What is confirmation? Is it a religous thing? How much did you charge and how old were your culls? I ask cuz here chicks are hard to sell. Lots of people on this post have Dels why no eggs sellers? I may have in a couple of weeks but have to make repairs on my run and seperate Nick and the girls. Won't be any hatchery Dels involved.

Speckledhen your chicks are biters. And they don't let go. Will try to get pics. Maybe I should hold them more. I'm worried there may be alot of roos. Such is life.

I think Cindi meant conformation, as in body type, etc, Tim.

Hey, Delawares are a mouthy breed, Tim. They're all like that; they crave attention and they explore everything with their beaks, girls included. When they get large enough for me to grab the beak, I grab it and hold it a few seconds and eventually, they get better about it.

Thanks Cynthia! That is what I meant. I spelled it wrong in one spot and right in another

You all must forgive the no pics I have a allergy headache out of this world! I will get some pics probably tomorrow though, just for grins and upload them so you all can see Whopper. He's not horrible as far as confOrmation it's just that crazy comb. 7 points and 2 side sprigs in the back. Looks awful. He has good wing carriage like his brother and he's tall and wide...ya'll don't make me rethink this...

I really don't like him. If he continues his attitude that's the REAL deal breaker for me.

I pretty much sell my culls for what I have in them. I had them ranging from 6 weeks old to 12 weeks old, and took $4-5 each for them. I threw in a banty rooster with one deal...DD's Sebrights get on my nerves

I was glad to give the little booger away. I do sell eggs too. I just started selling them myself. Mine are by far not the best Del's around, but I think they are very much workable.

Well then that's it. I don't want to use him. I have decent combs and good conformation with EJ my current boss roo, which is why I culled this one out to start with. I'll just send him on to camp as soon as I get feeling better. He'll be good with some dumplins

Of the three older, I think one of the hens is not from the Western NY chickens. I think her mother is a hatchery girl. Judging from the hackle feathers. If she's a she.

Does anyone have pics of Good Examples?
