I love little Dellie babies!!

Side sprigs are just that, little sprigs(extra points) out to the side of the comb.

Thanks I've never seen one and hope I never do. And not just on my Dels.

I notice the girls who were bald are getting their feathers back now that Eric the CM roo is gone. How can I tell how old a roo is. Nick my Del that is. I don't hear him crowing very much since Eric is gone. In fact I haven't heard him for awhile. I do recall that even when he was alone with the 4 Western NY girls they didn't look ratty. Not that I want them to. He's the only Del roo old enough to breed. Only roo old enough of any kind. I remember Speckledhen mentioning his wing carriage? Does age affect that? And other things too?

Good morning Dellie lovers everywhere!

Tim, I don't know how to tell age, can you post a picture of Nick? You have some nice looking babies there.

I didn't know what a side sprig was either, I though maybe it was a comb point with a double tip.

Yard full o' rocks :

Ladyhawk....I thought we were friends??!!

Hunters? All Boneheads??!!

I'm sooooooo offended (not)....but really, we're not all bad.

BTW - Colby, my youngest, killed his first wild turkey last weekend. Its supper tomorrow night

LMAO not all hunters...the bonehead ones.

You know the ones I mean....they come from the city and shoot your horse out from under you and come running to you while screaming "It's Mine...I shot it, that deer is mine, get away"..... that actually happened...my DH yelled back "FINE, let me get my dammed saddle off it and you can have it moron".

THOSE hunters Scott.

Morning.....

Believe me, that's why we pay WAY TOO much $$ to hunt!! Private land, about 4000acres, and 17 hunters who all know each other. NO WAY I could let my boys hunt any public land where some of "those kind of morons" hang out. I have experienced it first hand....one of my fraternity brothers was shot while deer hunting. Mistaken for a "deer"....yeah right. He's 6' 2" tall....biggest deer I've EVER seen in Ga might be 42" at the shoulder

Anyway.....back to work. I'm sending Gloria Jean some Del eggs today for her broody....there will be another addict amongst us in a few weeks. Beth.....you better run over there and forewarn her....she will be forever more "owned".

Y'all have a great day

I think Gloria Jean BELONGS with us- she also has Suede kids. . . . .Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha! I am glad you are sending her eggs- I still don't seem to have any fertile ones. Seriously, Ultrasuede and Luke knock each other off the poor girls whenever they can. I am sitting with a big plate of scrambled Dellie eggs in front of me, and none of them had the little bulls eye.

I tell you, those people with the "If it's brown, it's down" theory need to be tied to the little duck gallery in the shooting booths at the fair. Cetawin, I hope they locked that kook up after shooting your DH's horse. Or at least took his gun and license away. Or SOMETHING!

I like Nick!!!! He has nice dark hackles and his tail feathers look like they are really black and white-he may have the extra comb points, but the points are straight. From that angle, his wing looks not quite horizontal, a little down, but his tale set looks like it would be at 40 degrees. He certainly looks old enough to breed to me. SEND HIM TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am breeding him. I just wondered if his wings are down cuz of his age. I've had him a year and he was full grown when I got him. The woman didn't say how old he was or doesn't know. He's good with the girls even when there are just 4 in the pen. I love when he does the dance.
