Breeding coop? This will be my main coop.... and 8 x 8 for Thor and his women....and 8 x 8 for Severus and his women an 8 x 8 for grow out (actually for Suede or Isaac, whomever I manage to steal) and a 8 x 8 divided into two for my ducks. Thor needs a lot of room you know....and the other 8 x 8 will be my incubation/brooder area and food storage.

Although DH announced (while I was talking to Cyn on the phone) that Cyn and her DH must come for a visit so Tom can get in some blacksmithing lessons while Cyn and I built this monster coop. I have not slaped him yet but I am waiting for the perfect moment to strike....he will get his for even suggesting such a vile thing. I shall paint, lay tile flooring, mount nest boxes, TV, ceiling fans, wire for their surround sound but I ain't doing the building.

THERE WILL BE NO TURKENS, SHOWGIRLS or anything naked on its neck here. Nope. Blue Jersey Giants will bcome harem girls for Thor.

LOL My head hangs in shame of my cobbled together coops and dog kennel run... My chickens want to come live at your house.... I have three, the 8 x 10 - Eat Mor Pig shed, the turkey/chicken coop - Coyote Ugly, and the It'll Do coop and dog run. Hmm four, I just built the OMG coop - for putting up the banties in a panic because the cooper hawks are horrible this year and something was getting into Coyote Ugly no matter what I did so I was missing something. None of them are pretty, never mind plumb and square. My poor chickens get "hand me downs" and panicked "toss it up there and see if it stands" kind of things... Then there's the bottle calf in the rubber maid shed... that's cute but it's not gonna last long...

Cher, let me ask you something....are the coops safe? If so, who cares what they look like. I will take safe and functional over pretty any day of the week. But, as I get to start from scratch, DH is giving me some options and choices especially considering he gets the entire 40 x 80 barn in exchange, the garage and the basement (the man cave) shall be painted by me and not remain pink and pastel green

So...it is costing me valuable space

You tell your chickens to stay right there with their mama in the familiar safe environment...they are not missing nothing by not having fancy new digs....they got it going on right where they are.
