I pity the ones havin' to deal with Cannonball and Fattie!

Thanks Froggie, that link helped.
You can't tell anything from that photo. All of the birds are bent over eating and all you can see is fluffy butts. The only bird in the photo that is not bent over (the white one in front) is not a Delaware, it's most likely a Jersey White. If it is a Del (which I doubt) it would be a very poorly marked one. I would ask for better pics from the seller. You can't see a thing in that photo. It's hard to tell if any of the birds in that pic are Dels because you can't see the markings on any of them because they are all bent over.

ETA: here is a pick of 2 of my pullets when thay were a little bit older than the ones you are asking about. You can see the markings on both of my girls on the tails, wings and necks. Just ignore the mud on them LOL.

Thanks popcorn. I too did not think it was a great photo, but that is all she sent. I was hoping someone could see something I couldn't. LOL Thanks for your photos too, as I have something to go on. I was thinking the 2 closest to the waterer on the left were probably delaware, but as you say you can't really see them well. I have to e-mail back asking for better photos.

Oh well, just got another e-mail about the pullets and they are from a hatchery. So I guess I'll just keep hoping I'll be getting some chicks after all

I have no actual proof to back this one up, Scott, but I've read that the minerals in DE help with shell quality. I put it in my feed, but not up to the 2% ratio that some do. I may have to start doing that again in the main coop to see if it helps Nora, my blue Ameraucana, who started laying soft eggs almost every time recently. No one else is having issues, though.

Thanks Cyn

I saw Ladyhawks post too about drying the egg shells. We always "toss them in the trash"....guess I need to "recycle" them to the girls.

I only got 3 eggs from my Dels yesterday (all in the nest boxes) so it must be my 3 younger ones. Still nothing out of L'il Bit or Sasha. Both act fine, look great, no signs of molting, no bugs, etc....just ain't layin'. Kinda weird

I guess as long as they stay healthy I won't worry about it as we are getting around a doz a day from everything we have....way too many for us to eat anyway. Is it possible that some hens just lay really, really infrequently???
