Thank you, I do love my Luna.

Good Morning everyone,
It is rainey in the mtns of NC this morning.

Cetawin Be careful of that cat. I have several ferals that had not been giving me any trouble and all of a sudden found her chasing my 6 weeks olds. Yuck!!!!

Scott 9 more days to go and the hen is sitting tight. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will have the dellies and rocks hatch.

Cyn hope your are resting well and all the hens are behaving , including Fern. My Misty is really sitting tight. 9 more days. That splash lady is hugh , esp now that she is broodie.
Take care all Gloria Jean

Gloria Jean- hope your hen stays "in the mood to brood"!!!

Cetawin, your reputation precedes you?

If you steal a Dellie, please take the one that continues to lay the membrane egg. I have given up- I put Oyster shell in their treats plus they have a HUGE dish of it in order to make SURE whoever she is is getting it- and I still get the drippy things. Half the time the chickens are eating it before I find it - I am pretty sure it is only one hen and I have it down to between three of them, but she is sneaky!!!

If you make that mad dash for Polly, take me with. I want to see Kathy's set up!

It is merely dripping here now, so I am going to pull weeds-

Okay Beth you may be my accomplice.

That is when the real terror and menace goes on duty

Polly ain't a goin nowhere, girl! She's kept under lock and key!

Draco is really a beautiful guy, isn't he? I'm tellin ya, I think the crosses turn out to be the prettiest birds of all.

Gloria Jean, I think you must be getting th drizzle and rain that we had a couple days ago. I hate those dreary days. Only 9 days to go? Ohhhhh, how exciting! I can hardly wait to see the pictures!

Beth, Hurry and get that new coop started before DH comes to his senses and changes his mind!

It poured and pounded last night. Rain has stopped. Just returned from the monthly grocery trip and my ankle is screaming. I hate this wet. Makes me want to clear the trees away from my house so nothing is there to hold the moisture.

Draco was gorgeous but he was such a butthead...much like Dutch is to Cyn...Draco was the same way with me...bite bite bite

Cyn, elevate that ankle and relax ... my knees and right shoulder hear you loud and clear about this wet.

I'm getting ready to do the first cut on my 4 week old Dellies. I want a farm flock; fast growing and feathering big and robust. Since I hatched these and they are way chunkier than the hatchery birds I like them all but don't need 22 of them. I figure boys should be masculine and girls should be feminine what else should I look for. Thanks all for your help. Oh and these birds were produced from a farm flock too supposed to be excellent egg layers but I can't pick for that yet. I know the breeder crosses for his meat birds they are very nice too.
