And I'm so jealous...I hatched out several Rhodels and NOT ONE had a rosecomb!!!

I've discovered that when you cross a Del roo with other breeds, the Del color pattern is VERY dominant. I have several Del/EE cross chicks...they look just like Del chicks, but have peacombs and green legs. I'm holding onto those babies for now...gotta watch them grow a while.

Definitely Rhodels if they have rosecombs. As for the muffs...I'm clueless on that one. It's just totally impossible that they're an EE cross...unless I sent you green eggs.

Oh my goodness...I didn't send you green eggs, too, did I?

Wow, 11 out of 12 from shipped eggs from Shelleyb1969! I've been watching the auction for Del eggs, but still nervous about shipped eggs. Makes me want to think again. Looks like someone in Mid missouri is interest in Delaware chicks.
I have a RIR (probably really a production red) crossed with a Red Star roo. They both have single combs, but their chick that hatched seems to have a rosecomb

I'll have to get a good pic tomorrow.

Good Heavens Kathy don't be crossing Dellies with stuff....VERY unattractive birds.

LOL

I have been having fits today with the computer...heaven only knows what Cheyenne got into today while I was out. Sooooo the techy geek in moi must appear.

Duck eggs are incubating....

Cannonball and Fattie are both a mess. Fattie still trying to get into the tree and Cannonball still climbing up to the second floor deck and looking in the sliding glass door...but not being able to climb down and afraid to jump.

At the time I sent Kathy eggs, I had my Del rooster running with Delaware, Rosecomb RIR, AND EE hens.
