Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Too early to tell. Just got the pool cleaned out and refilled...everyone is stuffing their face and chasing bugs...it is so not overbearingly hot right yet so they are roaming around.

LOL

Yes they are doing great. On shipping they left Sand Hills, post office @ 14:00 <2pm> on the 14th
and they were here in Lebanon Oregon @ 10:00 am on the 15th, now that's PDQ.

Oh good! Your chicks made it OK- what a bunch of cutie pies!!! Thank you for the pics.
Out of curiousity, are the black marks on a few of the heads naturally theirs or are they marked to keep track of who is drinking? I know it has NOTHING to do with the sex of the chick, but I am curious as to why some Dels have them and some don't.

It's MUGGY here!!!

I posted this as a separate thread but I should have just put it here-- you're the ones to ask. My 2 2-week-old LB chicks are SO tiny compared to the Delawares and SLWs I have. They were hatched the same day as the Dels, and only 1 day after the SLWs yet the size/feathering difference is ridiculous. Is this normal?

Here's one of them between a SLW (top) and a Del (bottom)

Also, at what age can you sex these little things? Thanks so much!

ETA a better comparison pic... seriously, the LB looks like a bantam next to the SLW who is only ONE day older!

macmama, you will LOVE your Dellie chicks- they should be friendly, and into everything pretty soon- uh, did anyone warn you about the mind control stuff?
