I would really love to take a genetics class! Learning on my own just isn't working for me. I retain more from classroom education.

I'm not sure exactly, as I haven't bred to test any of those differences. I could see where it become problematic if say eWH/eb being distinguished on phenotype alone. Which I suspect is much of the problems in birds out there today.

I would "assume" the same. But I do have to wonder if the Ml-Pg differences become problems in the Dels?... OOOh... so many genes and some few pens.. LOL

My "understanding" is that it will effect the extension of the black in your final product and more potential for that brassy undertone.

The next thing is that we can't be "absolutely positive" concerning the purity if the original stock used to create the Delaware.

Another reason I believe they are EE is because I hatched over 100 F1s. ALL of them were barred. No sports.

What differences did you notice on chick phenotype, if any are to be noted?
