All chickens are related at some point. That doesn’t make them equal. Breed what you like though. Everyone likes different things.

Yes Sir, you are correct. I retract that comment, I just meant they are very similar to the bolo. In that they are both rumpless.

just picked up 2 pair of Ayam Cemani, I don't have the room. but I do have a game hmong hen that lays blue eggs and 6 of her eggs in the bater with oriental mix tho

I had not heard of the game hmong's. They look interesting, but where did the blue egg coloring come from as they are from different regions?

also I here they are hard to breed, tufts kill them in the eggs?

Why is this? I would think the tufts would be down in the egg. Could it be an inbreeding issue trying to get the muffs?

I guess game was the wrong word to describe the Araucanas. I think spunky is a better word. Regardless of what they are my game hen still wants to beat them up.

Creeper here just chiming in on tufts...
Breeding tufted to tufted birds will result in at least 25% chicks receiving both genes and will die in shell. Receiving two copies of the gene causes improper closing of the pharyngeal sac during development, leaving a hole in the throat. When the chick pips into the air cell, it drowns. Chicks usually die in shell at day 18 or 19. Chicks that receive two copies of the tuft gene can hatch but usually do not live long.
