Show Off Your Games!

The Puerto Rican games, like Spanish gamefowl, won't get as big as their American Game cousins. I have had Al's fowl before, very nice little birds, and the rose combs are a cool addition to the yard. Had to downsize the yard due to my plant closing and unfortunately sold all the Spanish games we had. You are very fortunate to get to start out with super nice fowl from a great gamefowl breeder. Good luck with your new birds...
How are they when it comes to cold tolerance? They seem leggy which makes me think they don't have anything in weight except what makes them go.

I raised them here in Kansas for several years, with the broodstock coming from Florida and Lousiana, penned them like my asils and thais, though the 50/50 American game crosses were kept in dome pens like the American gamefowl with no issues.. Only issue I had was too many chickens :p.

I do not now the proper name but looks like pattern gene (Pg) involved where he would be heterozygous. In mine the homozygous would be brown-breasted brown red. If I am correct, then if you breed him to a brown red hen you should get about 50% redquill color patterned birds.
