Show Off Your Games!

I can rule those out based on cock coloration alone. Hens also outside range mine exhibit. I will still need to see what some are calling real Pumpkin Hulseys.

Out of 20+ eggs in the incubator this guy was the only one who hatched and survived. Vigorous and hyper little fellow. Leiper hatch mixed with a yellow leg hatch hen (my only yellow leg hen)....

Anyways his legs are yellow but he has a werid dark green spot at the base of the foot. Has anyone seen this before?

This will probably get deleted for some reason but anyway how's about we start an egg swap? Say what u have and what u want. Egg for egg each pay their own shipping out. Let's say I have the miners and want asil. Someone respond I pay to send mine to them and upon receipt they pay to send me theirs. It'll have to have the trust factor but personally I have given and received trust within the gamefowl breeder world. I've done it a few times and it works out if you're trying to find a specific breed and have the extra eggs and don't feel like shelling out the funds. Right now I'm back logged for a while though

Seems to me that would be awesome with the game eggs, Wish I had some to do it with this year, but looks like it will be a couple of years before I get to where I can do it. I can't wait until when I get to that point. But with one rooster right now and some eggs incubating, I don't think it will be possible for a few years. It has taken me 16 years to get to where I am with the Emus and after yesterday I think we are going to let them all go this year or next year. I prefer smaller much smaller.

Little man is all alone now, Brownie had to be put down yesterday we have been noticing no eggs lately so went into her igloo and found pieces of cooked egg in her poops, which means internal hatching. So instead of letting her suffer we took her out and put her down. So now to find him a girl that is sweet and little. We tried our little red, but she wanted to fight him, so that didn't work. But for now, he can finish getting better without having to worry to much about a lady being around. The only hen that I have that gets along with him is my naked neck and she scares him she is so big.

Figured I better ask, Little man doesn't eat the corn like my other chickens do what is the best food for him??? I have him eating scratch right now, along with some leftovers. But I have to wonder what you guys normally feed your games. I want him to have what is best for him.

Out here, scratch and layer pellets are the same price, ironically. The layer pellets is much better. I also use pigeon feed and a feed called Rooster Booster which is like a premium scratch with catfish food and some other pellets. I mix it all together. Scratch is not what I would recommend, especially if it's the three grain. It's relatively low in nutritive value, and has too much corn for most peoples liking. Then again, if they are free-ranging and getting scraps, you can't hardly feed them wrong!

The egg laying health issues are very unusual. In future make certain that is actual problem to prevent culling for wrong reasons.

Feed you are using is fine if birds are free-range but not if confined. Up protein by including a balanced formulation that is higher than targeted amount of protein intended for birds to consume. My males on a maintenance ration I like have consuming a protein level of about 13% which can be realized by mixing a chick grower with a mixture of whole grains. Grains I use include millet, whole oats, BOSS, whole corn and whatever I can scratch up. Hens in lay will need a richer higher protein mix of about 14 to 15% crude protein with a free-choice side of oyster shell. Always make sure birds have access to some greens. You will have to do some math to figure out how much of each feedstuff to mixture.
