thanks for the help. ill post some better pics tomorrow of them. one last question. my rooster has 1" spurs. can i still dub him. i like to have him done. so to prevent frost bight.

it would be best to ask someone else who does it to be sure, but i think your still safe.

i hear its easy to do.

i like to see their combs, also i breed and sell to people who show. if a comb is crooked you can still tell it when they are dubbed. by letting my breeders combs stay on, i can see the overall shape better, helping me to choose better breeders. now the down side is i do have to run some heat for them. usually a 100 watt lightbulb is plenty, if they are cold they will find the heat.
