Show off your Old English Game Bantams!!

Actually, it varies depending on the state you are shipping to... and eggs is a lot less regulated than live birds...

I don't know what it costs, but I'd like to get that done, and really, I need to if I'm gonna take this any further. That way I can ship chicks and adult birds as well. I've had birds tested for shows, but not my whole flock.

You just need to contact your local branch of Dept of Agriculture... they can tell you how much it cost, since that varies from state to state as well... ours is $40... some states are even still free...

They test approx 25% of your entire flock, and nothing under 4 months old...

Guess I've got some calls to make. I did find out there's a certified tester school coming up in my area. That could be cool. Also read that you don't have to be NPIP to ship eggs, but think I'm gonna get it done anyway.

Then I can be all official and stuff. :)

I'm getting ever closer to retirement age, still got a lot of time left but this is what I'm gonna do when I quit being a slave to the man. Also would love to share what I have with you guys out there. My Dad always said you should put as much of your blood out there as you can. You don't know when you might need it back.

Memory foam as a shock absorber is the best... unfortunately it's usually a bit pricey to do all the time...

Yes I hope I haven't spoiled myself. My hubby got a mattress from one of his nursing home buildings, it was the wrong size, so they couldn't use it. He brought it home and I made a dog bed out of part of it, and kept the rest. Its several layers of memory foam 1/2"-3/4"-1" thicknesses, all stacked together, so I've been using it. Lol

Great motto!

And its always good to learn with folks who won't go crazy if something goes wrong.
