Seems like my luck is just rotten this year. My 20 chicks are looking very much like I may have as few as 3 girls if all these massive/ reddening combs are to be any clue. I'm left with a mottled jap, a Sumatra, a white Cochin, and maybe the buff orp.

Ideal won't be getting any more money out of me, I can't afford to feed any more boys...

Anyone selling/shipping pullet Bantam chicks of any breed or color near Kansas by any slim chance? :/

My numbers from my May 31st chicks are looking pretty close to that, maybe slightly better but I haven't taken the time to thoroughly check since they are free ranging with everyone and all over the place! I am going to try to sort through them after they go to bed tonight and see what's what. I tried to do it a few days ago while they were awake but it was chaos lol.

I really need to do some major downsizing and wish there was a cheap and easy way to send you some of my pullets!

If only, if only. Plus, your birds are all too pretty to come stay with me anyways. I wouldn't know what do do with them but let them live in the house.

Maybe I should get those ugly turken things, because it seems when I get cute chicks they all turn boy on me.

Sorry no pic yet, but I have a chick apx 5 1/2 weeks old that I thought was a black tail red and just noticed the other day it has gray legs so now I'm stumped. I have a black tail red pullet that is 5 months old but her legs are pink. Any thoughts? It still appears female but of course it is still young.

Is it true that Old English chickens are mean? Or !maybe just hard to have in a flock? The guy at the feed store told me that. I never bought any..

I love them myself. Super fun and full of personality!

Out of my 7 boys and 1 girl we kept this guy. He is so funny and used to sleep under a pile of silkies lol. We named him Snuggle
