I will sell eggs and chicks- no minimum or limits if local pick up. Have '08 hatch in various colors, a few 2 year olds and a pair of adult blues for sale right now..

Walking prisms! Some of the folks in this area try to breed them but they are killed by predators or, like the guienas, hit by cars.

Your birds are all so gorgeous. Mine are still "babies", only 6 months old, but that didn't stop them from flying into my kitchen garden this weekend and wiping it out. It was full of collards, lettuce and cabbage. Oh well, they are so beautiful you can't get mad at them. It' really awesome to see them flying overhead - they look like pteradactyls.

When it's mating season the peacocks will make a "george of the jungle" call. It's hard to describe maybe one of the others can?

Yes that's the one, just like you hear in the old time jungle movies. I wonder if they used peas?

I think the best looking ones are the Java's, the Burmease (sp) and Indochinease (sp). They are also the least cold hardy and need a heated barn in the winter. I couldn't talk Sharon into pea's in the living room. lol
