If it's regular pied it will have normal colored eye feathers along with a few pure white ones (because of the pied). If it is pied white eyed, most if not all of the "normal" colored eye feathers will have white in the "eye" part, along with some pure white feathers (because of the pied).
There are "loud pieds" which carries two copies of the w/e gene thus all train eyes are white.Varying genetics with just pieds may get from just a few to several eyes white but the sacred loud pieds are dream birds in my opinion.
I;ll try to get better pic's here are some new ones from yesterday,
Do I have to wait for them to molt before there feathers grow back? My IB and my BSIB Males look so rough, this is how I got them.
Also can't wait for them to start getting there big boy colors.
Joe.G- I love how they perch on the tree you have in there. They seem to really love it!
I know some of you are waiting for the snow to go away...We don't get snow here but I am waiting for the weather to actually get warm. Some days it is warm but on other days it is kind of cold and windy. I do not really like the cold so I am excited about spring. This is a photo showing some of the pen. My bananas are growing again and I really can't wait for them to spread...I can't grow them in the peafowl pen because they eat them up but maybe if I dug up a big banana the peafowl would not be able to eat it up.
Here are my two yearling boys. The one in front is Ice's and the one in back is Damsel's. They are both for sale.
Peep's back feathers
Alto my beatiful four year old peacock.
Alto getting preened by his favorite peahen, Xena.
Xena enjoying the sun.
If you click on this photo to see the full size version you can see the feather detail really well. This photo is very crisp and I had fun looking at the feathers.
