Your place really looks like a pea heaven - they must be so happy there.
I think you said it's 100 acres? That seems ideal.
We only have 6 acres and I know our gang would be excited about having more to explore.
They're especially cute having a sand-bath.

If the general overall opinion by tomorrow evening is to post the pics here,,,I will,,but I'll have wait until tomorrow nite because the camera batteries went dead before I could snap a pic of my Opal B/S,Charcoal and Wild Thang,,don't want to leave any ugly peacocks out here,,all of them needs this sort of recognition at least once a year.Or we could start an UGLY Pea photo section? Those pics taken when your peas have that confounded dumb look with their heads leaning to one side trying to figure out what is the reason water is coming out the end of the hose? Or their wierd look when they corner an ornamental pheasant and the pheasnt flies just over their heads and the peas are still in shock and awe? Or when a low flying helicopter or crop dusting airplane goes directly overhead and the entire flock has their say in that wasn't allowed or expected? Dumb looking peas has a place too ya know. Did the phrase pea-brain come from peacocks??

Start that "feather -challenged" section -- we can sure contribute to it -- after the past two days, between moulting & hurricane Isaac, we are definitely bordering on nekkid here!

These are my first two peafowl. Just got them yesterday and I am so excited. I don't think the man I bought them from knew a lot about them. He gave me mixed answers as to their color and sex, so any info would be a great help! He told me they were 3 months old.

Looks like a cameo gender unknown and an India blue possibly male but if tit is under 3 months more time will be needed to correctly tell the gender.

George at 13 wks - you can't see his(?) crown good but the shorter new feather is green



Rose at 13 wks (used to be midnight but our daughter didn't think that was girly enough so we had her name offically changed


Houdini at 13 weeks, triing to catch his/her color. not working well tho.

and all 3 at 12wks they're always in the same order Houdini, Rose then George. its so funny.

I was told for sure Rose was a girl because she's black shoulder and has no black yet.... oh boy.
