Show off your Peas!

I'd like breeder pens but I have so many varieties I'd have to build a pea palace like FBC! I don't like to skimp either lol! So I just spoil my birds and have a grab bag for anyone who wants to buy eggs.

Awesome, that's great. I definitely will! Thank you. :)

Mmmadie13, it wouldn't take much with a few pound in T fence posts and a roll of 2"x4" welded wire to make a few temporary breeding pens. You have one large pen? You could use two corners as breeding pens, utilizing the already in place 2 walls you have. You may need some sight barrier along the bottom too,but if you don't have a lot of males you may not have a problem with that issue either. I have about 9 black shoulder silver pied coming 2 year old hens for the 2014 breeding season. Plus I have 4 older bssp hens giving me 13 altogether. I will be mixing these with my Opal,Bronze,Midnight,Cameo,Peach and Taupe pens this spring.

Just a little corner of Peggy's first "real" train...
He's hard at work growing in train feathers and wing feathers at the same time and doing a lovely job, IMHO.

(An update for those of you who know about Peggy's long complicated story: I let him out of the pen and something grabbed him during his first night out and pulled out most of his primary flights on both sides! Poor guy!

He's back in the pen.)
