Congo Peafowl pair:

-Kathy

Kathy, check out post # 1219 in "Those who need help sexing Peafowl", this is the Afropavo that supposedly crossed with an India blue, and ended up creating that unusual looking hen.

Beautiful green peafowl as always!

The congo peafowl is not known to be kept widely in captivity especially by just bird keepers like us. They are tropical and need lots of heat and I think they can be difficult to breed. They are mainly kept at zoos. I have a book on peafowl that mentions the congo peafowl in there. I am not at home right now so I can't give you more info.

Here's the latest for our sweet Little Yellow: Not only is her neck brown... But it's green, too! Whatever that means - the whole BS thing is still new to me and I don't know anything but what I see!
I noticed today they have blue-green feathers in their necks
