The above hen and white peacock below were sold unfortunately, but just to get money for peacock pheasants!















The spalding and silver pied peachick (to the right in background) imprinted on me even though they were hatched under cochin broodies.

Let's see if they hatch. I don't have all the room you all do so I want to make sure the eleven I have now and possibly the new hatches have plenty of room.

Congrats! The pictures I just posted are of my Opal WE peacock. They really are beautiful peafowl. Hope they hatch.

Oh wow you should get someone to take a photo of you leading your pack-O-peas! That would make for an awesome photo! I dream of having a bunch of peas following me around like that someday. They follow me around in the pen but someday when I can free-range that would be fun.

Although, recently I accidently left the pen door open and Peep and Frosty got out. My dad went to mow the lawn and Peep and Frosty were getting in his way, so I can understand how free-ranging friendly peas can be good and bad.

I know right? Zazouse has such a beautiful place I still need to visit her sometime.

Zaz I was sad to see that the 2014 UPA convention is going to be in Ohio. I was hoping you would host it because your place is so awesome and also the UPA Convention is always too far away for me (plus I can't really take off of college).

It would be cool if each year they could alternate the area of the US that they have the convention so that way people from all over can have the chance to go to the convention without it being so far away. I tell ya someday I am going to get to attend a UPA convention!

Minix would love to have it here and mabe one day it will be, got alot of work to do first and we are getting there slowely but done right, a work in progress.

I also wish i could go to the convention but the only way that will ever happen is if i bring it here to my place one year

That barn is awesome! I would say you can be sure that if you have a convention at your place, I will definitely be in attendance, but really I am at the mercy of college. The UPA convention I think always starts on a Thursday, which would be just super difficult for me to do because I would have to miss probably half a week of school. My parents don't like me missing any day of school. I have had perfect attendance just about all my life. I certainly have envied those who get to take off of school for trips and having a cold, but I do see it as a double edged sword. Missing school means missing assignments and having to catch up, although now that I am getting into my major, graphic design, it might be easier to miss things since art classes are not as crazy as other classes like math.

I am sure the UPA people would get a kick out of your friendly peas. It would be a nice change to see a bunch of peas running around wild and free.

Surprisingly Colbolt is still holding on to his train feathers. I love this camera, got could picks of him in flight. Colbolt knows how to love the camera and pose.

Time to cool down from the nice hot dry weather by dipping the feet in my water.
