Show off your Peas!

Opps i forgetted
your first 2 babies looke male , the 3rd i can not tell as the the photo is out of focus.
the 4th kinda looks male but it to is out of focus so hard to be sure.
they look very healthy have you wormed them yet?
#4-still no name, lol, thinking of Squirt since he/she is the smallest

#3-no name and very hard to keep still for a focused pic! (#4 is in pic but you can't see it's head)

Another question; I'd really like for my pea's to free range around our yard and roost them in the pen at night. Is this feasible? When do I put them out to free range so they can get used to being out? I have no full grown pea's but I do have about 50 hens that free range.

I took them last night so that should put them around 5 weeks of age. Figures I'd get all males or all females, lol! Maybe I can do some trading for a couple females; craigslist here we come! haha. Thanks Zaz! So, what do you look for when sexing? I'm a greenhorn at this and very curious as how to do it. Going to get as much of the wormer & other items I can today that you all directed me towards last night, so thank you all for the help. Really looking forward to the great pea adventure!

I've heard a rumor that these aren't always helpful

but maybe they will give you some hints...

Is there some way to sticky this so it can be easily found?
great idea!

Thanks again Zaz, I agree, they all appear to be male. figures, lol. gives me an excuse to look for a pied hen or something that will go well w/ a pretty IB boy. Realistically, 2 pair at my place is plenty. Would love to find a hen for each boy but 4 pair too many and unfair to the birds.

Keep all the awesome pics comin everyone!!!

Where you located, perhaps someone here will be able to help you out, like me

if you are close enough

After they get grown you may have to separate the pairs cause the males will fight, unless you free range where they can get away if things get to heated.

I live in west central Illinois. South of the town called Pittsfield in the great county of Pike! If you're a farmer or hunter or nature enthusiast, no better place on earth; if you don't like being somewhere isolated (nearest Starbucks is 40 mi away, thats how few people live here, lol) or where there are few people then its not for you. Fortunately I love it!!
