Show off your Peas!

The granite people told us they would be too slippery once they got wet, but we poured water on them and then walked over them and it didn't really feel slick at all. If it rains and then they are too slick, I can probably find something else cool to do with them. We found a narrow piece and were joking around about making a perch out of it, but we probably could figure out a way to make it a perch...

Since the peas loved the poke berries so much, and the pokeweed was in the way, I broke it off and dragged it into their pen. They all had fun eating all of the berries off. Today there were no more berries left.

Edit:
I didn't want to make a new topic just for this...
I just found a new second website for the Rocking BAB Ranch, and on it, it says they recently got ring tailed lemurs. It seems like they might be updating this other site more than the main site. Pretty interesting. I am getting very antsy for this year's Farm Day. I read on the new site that they do not have 2014 hatch imported greens for sale, but that is okay I have decided to start with American Greens first. I just hope I can finish everything super fast so that on Farm Day I might be able to talk to Josh about getting some young greens.
Here is the new site I found: http://rockingbabranch.com/

Both of my peas are guardians if they see my dog they fluff up and full out attack
They do not attack .. they go to see closer ... because peacocks are curious by nature ... and sometimes it's dangerous for them ... because they are naive!
There are many more examples of aggressive dog against peacocks that peacocks aggressive against dogs!

... stupid people !

In fact people do not know what it is a dog!

Yesterday i was mowing out by my garden, Patch always follows me when i mow, he keeps an eye on his momma (me) anyhow every time i got close to this one pine tree he would get in front of me and stop and was honking his head off, i would turn and try to go around to the other side and he would get in front of me again and honk his head off wound not let me go by so i stopped and started looking around, he was eye balling something , i thought was in the brush , i started to step off the mower and he ran up close to the mower and jumped straight into the air honking his head off, , now this had me scratching my head cause i knew he apparently was seeing something i could not , but i thought it was in the brush, once again i started to get off the mower and he blocked my way then i saw it move right by the mower, a 13 inch copper head, had i made it off the mower i would have surly been bitten as i had already injured it with the mower and it was a bit mad, lesson learned (always listen to your peacock, their eyesight is incredible.

Just watch out for those granite cut outs they are very slippery when wet ! I had them going to my front door, that did not last long.
I have granite squares here and they are only slick on one side the other side is like fine grit sandpaper

Patch looks out for his momma. He's your guardian.

Chirpie is 15 months old now, I don't know if I've ever had a 15 month old with this many eyes coming in.

Opie is also 15 months, they hatched about 6 hours apart, he has no eyes coming in.

Tsunami is 4 weeks old today, and spoiled rotten by Miss Priss.

Our new baby girl, who still needs a name and a color ID.

I'm horrible with names, I'd call her something stupid like scruffy girl, lol. Congrats on her, I'm sure she'll blossom into a beautiful hen under your care! -Kathy
