Show off your Peas!

I don't know if it is because he molted and has grown in fresh new feathers or if it is the quality of fall sunlight, but Fred looks so blue this time of year he almost glows. He doesn't look like this the rest of the year, in the spring he looks much greener and over the winter the gold tones are really strong. I am leaning toward thinking it is the angle of the sun in the sky at different times of year.

A beautiful 60 degree fall day and everyone was taking advantage of it, we could get snow this weekend.

Chirpie has discovered shoelaces and will not leave them alone. Is this what eventually leads to foot molestation @casportpony ?

You'll know soon enough, lol. BTW, great pictures!

Gorgeous! What is technically the color?

He was purchased as a Burmese Green, but some members have expressed the opinion that he is a high% Spalding. Personally I don't care, I do not breed greens only spaldings so his offspring are always offered as spaldings. He is a nice tame bird, not aggressive and will eat from our hands, that is what matters to me. Thank you for the compliment, we think he's pretty georgeous too!

No. I just thought of it since I was watching Kung Fu Panda 2 earlier and that was the line that hit me and we were talking about shoe laces and spaghetti.

Our first class today is Dairy Science and we were going over parasites and Roundworms, Hook and Tape worms were the internal parasites we went over. Some of the people in the class were surprised of what they looked like and were astonished by how big Tape worms get.
