They dont normally migrate but in the winter they hunt a larger area sometimes as much as 200 square miles so you dont see them as much.I think the ones in Alaska eat lots of fish, that may be their primary diet. Is yours sticking around year round? Here where I live, they are migratory, I think.
Edited to add: they show up in a couple of the wildlife refuges here in the winter time
