Show off your Peas!

Minx thanks for the info, I don't need the addresses, I will keep the info handy. Thanks for the help.

Birdman I think they are beautiful! The one with the saddle across his shoulders reminds me of my sweet boy, Cherokee. Very nice.
Come warmer weather I might take you up on your offer of assist,I know price shouldn't matter but I got a crapload of unexpected hospital bills to try to cope with too, so I have to sell some of my ib's to make room. They really are my therapy!

I love all the pictures!

well there here and in the greenhouse...I didn't worm them right off the bat...they were in boxes for two days so I figured I wouldn't stress them out and give them a month before I do the worm. And as for birds if you need some when they breed ill hook you up for a stellar price...or I can find you some birds...I seem to have good luck finding birds at great deals. It was weird I opened all the boxes to let them out and not one bird jumped out...then 15 minutes later half of them were out...but it was to dark....so here are some boxed peafowl....any ideas on the kinds and genders...?

Peacocks free ranging has nothing to do with the peacocks in aviary ... a little piece of paradise! Just the colors that I like!

k thanks so much that what I was thinking...the one female is really small compared to the rest .....could it been a later hatch maybe....

I estimated the pen dollar amount and wow...that will put a hole in the pocket....lol....but gotta build for my peas....I cant wait...mom is loving them...at first she was like no way are you getting more birds you have to many but then when she seen them in person she was like ok...they are so pretty....lol....signs of them eating so that's good haven't seen them drink yet but im sure they did...going to be putting straw down and adding some perches here in a little bit....have a wonderful day everyone

It mainly looks like India Blue pieds to me. I am not sure if the two with a lot more white on them are just pieds with a lot of white on them or if they are silver pieds. I am leaning to them all being pieds but I can't say for sure.

They are lovely. Birdman, when i got my 5 pieds way back when, one was quite a bit smaller. He wasn't late hatch, he had a cocci overload. I was hesitant to use Corid right away as I didn't want to stress them and ended up losing him because I didn't treat soon enough. That was my second year of peafowl, so just keep a real close eye on them. I personally hate how long Corid takes to take effect. I lost several to cocci in my first couple of years when I would first bring them home. :(. Mine were usually babies though.

I had a similar experience bringing home birds from an auction, I thought I was dosing them correctly with 3cc in a gallon of water and following up with Ivermec in the water and I lost a couple of them. I know birdman is dosing orally and the correct amount, so I can only add that he should dose them right away and not wait.
