Show off your Peas!

I am selling because I cannot possibly keep all of the young peafowl unfortunately. So some of the special ones I really want to go to good homes. There are actually three free rangers. One is the bronze Spalding split white peacock. The hen that looks like an India Blue is also white eye and split to charcoal. The IB BS looking hen is also split charcoal and carrying white or pied I believe. The first picture has a white midnight peacock in the front. The peacock behind is a high percentage Spalding peacock. I will be keeping him. PM me if you are interested in getting any.
Okay- but I'm still a little clueless as to which are the hens your talking about? Any chance you can tag the pics? Sad, the one I had my eye on in the top pic is a peacock. Would love a spalding hen. Bronze or white is good- but confused by the other letters and splits.

Ya we don't have anything to do with the hay but my neighbor mows his hard with that be too noisy?? But I won't go near it becuase I want her to hatch some babies
Three years ago, both my peahens chose to nest in the middle of the construction site when our patio was rebuilt! I mean there were chain saws, cement mixers, pik axes, and lots of workers with wheel barrows. we had to go dust the stone dust off one of the birds a couple times, she got so covered.
It was crazy- the workers were having to work around them! Both birds hatched 6 out of 6 eggs that time. One of the nests was on stone gravel, no grass or hay! I couldn't believe it, and then an old timer told me the peahens chose that noisy location because it would keep predators away.... and it did!
This is a pic of the chicks in the gravel nest!

Well atleast she chose it in my barn up high but the only predators that I've seen in my barn is this little mouser cat but I wouldn't think that that thing would hurt a peahen but my chicken was down in the bales were any thing could've gotten her and still she has hatched all of her babies and I have a duck behind some wood on the outside of the barn and she hasn't had any issues

Well, the reason I told that story is so you wouldnt worry that the sound of your neighbors tractor would disturb her. Doubt you have to worry about the cat- she may actually help keep rats and possums away, (until the chicks hatch, that is). Don't take food or water to her- mine would get really annoyed when I did. Attracts other predators to the nest, like raccoons etc...
My hens leave the nest once a day(but not every day) very briefly, to eat and drink. They make a whole bunch of noise, sqwuaking and carrying on as they fly off the nest. Then they walk around honking loudly as they eat and drink- the idea being, to draw attention away from where the nest actualy is. Make sure she can get to good water and quality food when she takes her brief lunch brakes. Good luck!
