Show off your Peas!

Here are some of the worst images i have taken so far. Opal silver pied maybe 10 days old. Opal white eye. Opal black shoulder white eye. Last two both are 5 weeks old.
Very pretty chicks. I have to say for 5 weeks they look big. Mine is just 4 weeks. Maybe you have small hands.. ;) Do you weigh them? I'd be interested to know their weight at 5 weeks for comparison to mine.

White peafowl
mind personally are the purples, but that is just looks, i have never had any peas (yet

Our database seems to be really lacking in any pictures of individual chicks from 2 weeks old and up.
So any close-ups would be great!

Since the Chick Chart is supposed to help people figure out what they have, maybe pictures of colors/patterns that can be hard to figure out would be most useful? Like the Cameos/Purples that are sometimes confusing, etc? You know about this stuff much better than I do...
and you have such a wonderful selection there @KsKingBee !

By the way may I add a big

for Kathy's scale pictures?
I think it may be really useful for people to see a particular chick's growth process, as they can through those pictures.

I'll get onto it, some of mine have me scratching my head though.

What variety is your mature male? My spalding white has already shed most of his train (he only has really short train feathers left) and the other two peacocks in the same pen as him still have all of their train feathers. Some peacocks just shed at different times.

I also like Purples and Indian Blues, but I can find IBs easily and I know few breeders in Idaho with Purple. I would get some Purples if I had more room. I love Whites the most since I don't see them as often in Idaho, and it's different. I would also get Charcoals if I could find them locally and if they are not too expensive and if I had more room. If I was limited to three peafowl colors I would probably choose Indian Blue, White, and Charcoal. White are just beautiful in my opinion.
