Hey, so based on the picture of the chick above, anyone wanna guess what sex it is? As shown above it was only hours old, but had that dark coloration.

Since all your guesses on darks one day old chicks were hens i'm gonna guess hen too

My surrogate broody hen has gone broody again while she still has a peachick following her about.The peachick has the choice to be out with the other peachicks but spends most of her time sat in the same nest.

If Nanu has green blood, it's news to me. Neither parent show any green traits, and none of his siblings that I've grown out have shown any either. And I'm pretty sure I didn't mislabel his egg. I honestly don't know where the yellow on his face is coming from!
