Show off your Peas!

But why do they look different ?

Maybe a week or two apart, or diet. Not sure other than those two options. The thing that indicates that they are both male is the barring on the shoulder. Here's a picture of a male chick upfront and a female chick in back. These peachicks are 3 weeks old. If one of them was a hen at the 2 month stage they would have a solid or nearly solid brown wing.

Nope they were born the same day and they eat together all the time I have them in a cage cuz their mom dies a couple weeks ago ;( but yeah you are right they are both male but one is a little bigger then the other one and different collor I'm thinking one is a black shoulder and one Indian blue :)

Maybe Split to Black Shoulder but not full Black Shoulder. Black Shoulder peachicks start out white for both sexes and then progressively get more black and look like an Indian Blue for male and remain white with some gray for hens. I don't have pictures of a young male but here's a link to younger BS males. I do have a picture of a BS male but I don't know the age. A peafowl breeder I know sent me a picture of one of her young males fanning.http://peafowlimagedatabase.weebly.com/peachick-chart.html
My Black Shoulder peahen at a year old.
This was her at 4 months old.

I still haven't figured out the sex of my broodys hatch (2) One is IBBS and the other IB. I'm saying both female for now. They are approx 5 weeks old. My lone boy Rocky hatched 5/26 has developed some whitish crest feathers. Anyone know why that is? Hatched by me from shipped eggs. Obviously IB but not sure if split or not.

Excuse the poor pic via my dirty glass door but he will just peck my phone if I tried taking a close up!

I sold one of the two white males last week. I'm really hoping for girls as I have the yearling white male, and IB split male with my lone IB hen. Another IB male in the house "Rocky" that I posted a few posts back.
The outdoor family together at the front door this morning!

These were taken 8/19 after a month of feeding a new diet, i am proud of how well they are doing they are now very tame, no one goes crazey when anything new happens now, they don't even mind the dogs.

Here they are before i got them switched over completely to new feed

Been trying to get this expansion done but between the rain, supervisors and inspectors it has been a slow process.
