Show off your Peas!

OK well this is a super late response! Lol
Thanks! We are really glad to have him, although we still miss our old boy... mom is still insisting there was something so special about that bird that even this guy doesn't quite have! I will say one thing though, we are definitely hooked on Spaldings now, myself included. Usually I prefer a tamer bird over a flightier one but not in this case apparently!
Thanks! We think so to. And I absolutely *love* his voice! Much nicer sounding than the Blue's harsh screeching for sure!
Thanks Gerald! If you think he's a nice bird than it must be true!
Usually I would agree but I'm not too worried; the pea aviary is literally a ten foot walk from the front door, and we have four dogs including a very big, and currently very hormonal German Shepherd. I don't think we've ever had another animal come within 50 yards of the house thanks to those guys!

We will however soon be moving the peas and putting in a more permanent aviary... that will be better predator-proofed because it will be down below the house and not in an area where the dogs don't often go. I plan on burying wire, and using 5x16', 2x2 inch welded wire panels for the outdoor fencing and will probably be picking up an older Tuffshed for them to sleep in. All covered in gamebird netting. Always expanding when it comes to my projects!
You're welcome. I've never heard a high % Spalding or a Green call in real life. I want to hear what it's like in real life.

Queen Misha, so sorry you lost your Blue. Your new boy is a beauty.
Nice seeing you drumstick diva here!

Brooder coop and runs on the right and breeding pens on the left. Foreground is either a garden or new grow out run depending on if you ask me or the wife.
Now Im jealous, very nice indeed and I truly understand when it comes to "the boss of me" and her vision of our land endeavors. Gerald Barker
