Here's Little Runty with his mommy, he'll be 4 weeks old tomorrow...
Going to let him out of the chicken coop in the morning!

Here is my 3 month old green spaulding (I think), and my new IB's I hatched last month. This is my first year hatching peas and it has been a challenge!! I have a couple dozen in the bator right now due next week. I am spending a lot of time reading and learning I am obsessed with these guys. I have even convinced hubby to look for a bigger place so that I can have a great place for them!

Yes, Little Runty is going out to free range with the gang. It's really scary to let them out into the big world.
Nighttime is especially scary - it takes a while for them to be able to get high enough in a tree to be really safe from the night prowlers.

I'd be a wreck! Fingers crossed for Runty!

New 2 pfowl
As long as mom is with him he will learn how to hop limbs and get higher, i pulled all the guineas out of the pea brooder and put them in the big pen with an unfinished top and inside of 3 days the momma peacock had them roosting in the trees, poor hen was so torn, tried her best to call the wee peas out of the brooder to come with her but i had already locked them up for the night .

This was taken before i turned them out, it started to rain and they would not get off the roost and go to the brooder box so i ended up covering that part of the run with a tarp so they would not drowns or freeze in the driving rains ,good thing too cause the temps were in the high 60's low 70's by morning which rarely happens this time of year, it is usually in the 90's in the morning this time of year but i ain't complaining at all
